I have to say seeing people's replies to Kais makes his point even more so valid; they are getting really pissed off because he told them that playing for some 40+ hours straight is unhealthy (and it really is) so that he really shouldn't do that (much less skip work for it). What's the point of telling Kais that he's the one with problems because of that? I frequent forums, doesn't much I play games 24/7, it just means I need a break from non-stop studying for my exams. Playing so many hours in 1 go IS bad, no matter how much you get pissed off at someone for telling you the truth.

Whoever got pissed off by Kais' reply either feel targetted because they did the same (probably more than once) and they feel they need to defend their stupid actions by acting childish

I know I said I was done with this, but I feel obligated to defend myself.

Well, thanks for putting me up on the pedestal. I never sought to be all high and mighty, but thanks for seeing me in such a light. That just made my day.

It's funny, all I did was point out how the OP was whining like a petulant child because his fictititous and now deleted in game accomplishment wasn't recognized by someone else, and in doing so he put himself in an unhealthy situation. I had a comp sci professor in college who had to squint all the time and often wore sunglasses because of his overexposure to computer screens over his lifetime. Now granted, the OP didn't spend years in front of a computer, but if what he said is any indication of his lifestyle, spending 50 hours over 3 days (an average of 16 hours, meaning he slept very little as well), then yes, it's incredibly unhealthy.

And then, you post this little gem:

Well since you dragged real life into this, I'll respond in kind. I work in law enforcement. I've been a cop for almost 3 years now, and I enjoy the job very much. Almost every day, I get the chance to help people in their lives, to help them improve their lives in certain ways that very few people in this country ever will. Whether it's helping someone deal with an abusive spouse or a malcontent child, catching a bunch of perps who just robbed someone, helping people out when they're in a car accident, helping people deal with family members who just died; I could go on and on. The fact of the matter is you're going on and on to try and bolster your own "forum image", but all you've really done is make yourself look like the myopic boar you really are.

Thanks for the pedestal. The view is nice from up here. I'll step down now though.

And after all your arrogance and flaming, you still did not understand that what HE felt like doing is none of your business. But meh, i'll stop feeding you now, troll. Sorry, enough food for your ADS.

If it were none of our business, why did he post it here for all to see? His intentions were to make it well known what he had done and how he had gone about doing it, and yet you state it's none of our business? Wow, that's some amazing logic you've just used. I hope you don't have to make any important decisions in your lifetime. Heaven forbid you exercise any common sense either; that would just tear the fabric of reality apart.

Now, I am truly done with this crap. I hope there's a way to put you on ignore in the user CP.

So basically... you spent 50 outta of 84 hours during the preview event farming a title that is just going to get reset... well if that is not the biggest waste of time and effort ever I don't know what is. I hope it was worth it to you cause to me... the sun wants to see you.

*dangles a donut in front of Kais*... *moves at a slight jog and watches Kais run out of air*

my roomate is going into criminal justice too.... mostly because hes dumb as a brick and can't do anything else.... I can't believe there is a cop reading my posts and I can say anything and nothing will happen..... btw if you ever pull me over and there is a 30 pack in the backseat I'm sober

It's still HIS time and HE can still decide what to do with it

@ Kais

It strikes me how some people feel so addressed to.
Ok maybe it's bad to play that long but that still doesn't give you the right pointing fingers.
If the OP felt the need to achieve rank 7 then it's totally up to him and i don't think anyone is justified to come and tell him he's unhealthy becoz he felt desire to achieve something.
Ok i know... "let's all do the 'common' things and go out in the sun."
It's still HIS decision.
If he felt that he was left out in The Scribe list i can only support it.
Gaile Gray replying to it ensures him the matter is being checked, which makes his complaint a valid one.
If everyone else reaching 5k points was in there and YOU were not would you wanna be in it? Sure you would. And if not then it it does not give you the right to come in here and point fingers.

I think that the posting the images with his ectos were bragging a bit, but I'd feel pissed off if I 'earned' a title and didnt get the same acknowledgement that other people who did exactly the same thing that I did (in this case getting a 'SunSpear whatever' title). That could be justifiable. The more 'correct' method would have been to post screenies to Anet Scribe, but I guess the guy wanted to show his screenies here as well.
Kais, I guess your dedication to your job makes it hard for you to understand some else's willingness to take a holiday off work (something that Im assuming is still legal in your country) to play a computer game. What he does with his eyes is still his own business (as long as it isnt illegal right )

I took a day off to play the preview as well. I'm obliged to take at least 24 days every year and I always end up having to cram them into december. I might as well take some when there's something fun to do. I've already arranged to have a day off 2 weeks from now as well. Anyone wanna make an issue out of it?
